Our Mission

to the world

We are doing our best to follow Jesus' orders that He left for the church.  We teach people to follow Jesus as Lord and Savior, baptizing them, and teaching them to obey Jesus' commands.

Our prayers and our financial support through Faith Promise are how we complete our mission to the world.  The missionaries that we support around the world are working in places that we will probably never go... unless you're interested?

We want:
  • The Gospel spread throughout the world
  • The Church growing
  • Satan's kingdom destroyed
  • And Christ's reign extended to the ends of the earth.

Our Mission To our community

The great commission, in Matthew 28:18-20,  doesn't speak of just  going to other countries and lands.  It tells the church to make and teach disciples of Jesus right in their own back yards.  That's our community.  That's Wayne County.  Of course, we have Sunday services, Sunday School classes, and Life Groups (small groups of people who meet to study the Bible and how it applies to their lives), but that's not all we do.

  • A Night To Remember

A Night to remember is a party that we throw for the Special Needs adults in our area.  There's dancing, games, and of course, lots of food.  It's just a night when our guests can meet a "buddy" from the church and spend some time having a good time.  A Night To Remember is certainly a night we will never forget!

  • Great GiveAway

Our Great GiveAway usually happens in the fall, sometime in early September.  It's basically a huge garage sale, where everything is free.  The community is invited and 400 - 500 families and individuals come in and find everything from clothing to pots and pans that they can use.  The items are donated by the congregation and it never ceases to amaze us how God supplies everything that we need to meet people's needs out of the closets and attics in our homes.

  • Fall Fest

Fall fest is a fun, Saturday with food, inflatables , pumpkin decorating, & games.  It's a time for families to have fun, spend time together, and experience a little of God's love.

  • Chili With Charlie

Every year after the Fairfield Kiwanis Christmas Parade, we invite the community to come in, have hot bowl of chili to warm up, and watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas".  We'll go through nearly 40 gallons of chili and enough peanut butter sandwiches to keep an elephant happy for a long time.

Our Mission

To our church

When it comes to our mission to the church who meets at 100 W. Center Street in Fairfield, Peter sums it  up pretty well in 1 Peter 4:8-11.

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.  Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.  Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever!

Do we get it right all the time?  No.  But we are trying to find ways for everyone to use their gifts to build up the kingdom of God.  When that happens, our local "body of Christ" becomes complete... becomes whole. And that takes all of us, using the gifts and the talents that God has given to us,  to bring God the glory that He deserves and to make the church, FCC Fairfield and the church around the world, the "body" that God designed it to be.
