When it comes to our mission to the church who meets at 100 W. Center Street in Fairfield, Peter sums it up pretty well in 1 Peter 4:8-11.
Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay.
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever!
Do we get it right all the time? No. But we are trying to find ways for everyone to use their gifts to build up the kingdom of God. When that happens, our local "body of Christ" becomes complete... becomes whole. And that takes all of us, using the gifts and the talents that God has given to us, to bring God the glory that He deserves and to make the church, FCC Fairfield and the church around the world, the "body" that God designed it to be.
